Venue website with live events and ticketing from a third-party API and a spam-protected enquiry form. Total site size cut from 22 MB to 2.6 MB.
The problem
The venue needed a fast site that shows live events and handles enquiries.
What I built
- Pulled events and ticket types through a server-side proxy, hiding sold-out and admin-only tickets.
- Verified reCAPTCHA on the server before sending enquiries.
- Compressed images and trimmed scripts: total size down from 22 MB to 2.6 MB.
